Flock Flash Update!

Don’t miss this Friday’s meeting – fantastic lineup of speakers and the return of our International Member Cecy. Cecy will be giving us a new “icebreaker” speech – consider it the sequel to when she was last in Seattle. Imagine the excitement, joy and spectacular smile of the Earlybirds member Cecy as she commands the stage and perhaps you’ll hear some Spanish paired with English from this extraordinary presenter and public speaker!

Then – Lily Pierson is on the schedule. Lily delights and dazzles. When asked to describe Lily’s speeches – I often talk of “NPR’s Selected Shorts” – speeches that are moving, rich in content and often the richest dessert for the soul!

Then – Presidents Beth and Kim with the annual State of the Union. What are their plans for the club this year? What’s the vision? Where are we going as a club? You gotta attend to get the scoop. Will their be Q&A like at a White House briefing? Will their be brownies and red wine? You’ll have to attend to find out!

Lastly – all 3 speakers are speaking from the “manual” – all will email the VP of Education Peter Beeson with the following info no later than this Wed 7/13 at 10am with:

1. Speech Title
2. Speaking Length
3. Name of the Manual
4. Name of the Assignment
5. Your personal goals, speaking objectives

Lastly – mark you calendars for Saturday 9/10. West Seattle Earlybirds BBQ at Peter’s Place (grilling, adult beverages, naughty table topics, movies – in a word “blast”). Details to follow!
