First time Toastmaster Humberto Wilson proudly presided over a meeting full of frolicking fun and three incredible speakers:

The lovely Lily Pierson tantalized us with her provocative speech “What a Woman Needs”. This roving reporter noticed that lots of men were taking notes. J Professor Bernd Paatsch provided unique insight on global warming and cooling in his speech “Fire and Ice”. Are you burning for eternal summer or loathing to love the deep chill of the ice age? Bringing us home, our marvelous Madame Presidents, Kim Boyden and Beth Dewey shared their vision for the coming year. Want to know what’s in store for you Early Birds? Come to a meeting and find out!

TopicMaster Brian Kostecki inspired us to share some fun in the sun. Early Birds rose to the occasion with tales of hiking, biking, golf, pies, beer, brats, beer, blues, an arrest for trespassing and wistful wanton ritual sacrifices.

Summertime, and the livin’ is easy
Fish are jumpin’ and the cotton is high
Oh! Your Daddy’s rich and your Ma is good lookin’
So, hush little baby, don’t you cry . . .
One of these mornin’s you’re gonna rise up singin’
Then you’ll spread your wings, and you’ll take to the sky
But ’till that mornin’ there’s a nothin’ can harm you,
with Daddy and Mammy standin’ by . . .
But ’till that mornin’ there’s a nothin’ can harm you,
with Daddy and Mammy standin’ by . . .

That’s a wrap
