Great meeting today, started off with Chuck out temporary president, who is doing a bang-up job. Norman is going to step in as president for the rest of the term. Very glad to hear this, this gives us a full compliment of officers.

Great meeting today led by Jim Guenther as our TM, great job Jim.

Two great speeches, first, Shawn gave us all a lesson on Hummingbirds with speech title of “The Beast in the Backyard”. A couple things we learned were their heartbeat is 500 bpm, some as fast as 1500 bpm and we have 24 varieties here in the PNW.

Secondly, Steven gave us manual speech from the CC manual speech number 3, “Get to the Point.” His speech title was “This is Spartacus”. Steven gave us his recent experience of the obstacle race; he covered 3 points as follows. 1. Try something new, 2. Grow, push past your comfort zone and 3. Push past boundaries. Steven did all through of these things and invited us to do so.

Brian gave us our table topic of “Who is the most important person alive today?” Great topic Brian, it brought about some great responses.

Speech winner today, Shawn and Table Topic winner was a tie but Beth took home the prize.

Chuck was our speech evaluator, first time. The remaining cast was as follows, Mykal meeting evaluator, Jean grammarian, Brian vote counter, Josh timer, Cause inspiration.Greg will be sending out an email pertaining to the club Humorist speech and Table Topic contest, early in the week.
