Be sure to attend this Friday’s meeting as we will be having a special guest speaker Shannon Braddock!

Shannon Braddock has called District one home for over 17 years.  She is an active neighborhood volunteer in West Seattle and has worked for the past four years as Chief of Staff to County Councilmember Joe McDermott.

At the King County Council, Braddock works alongside McDermott on a range of issues, including supporting strong investments in transit, viaduct mitigation, and critical funds for human services such as the Youth and Young Adult Homelessness Initiative and the Greenbridge Public Health Center.

A mother of three Seattle Public School students, Braddock served as the Legislative Representative on the Lafayette Elementary PTA. Braddock currently serves on the board of WestSide Baby and spent more than three years on the West Seattle Food Bank Board where she led their strategic planning process. She received her Masters in Public Administration from the Evans School at the University of Washington. On the Council, she will focus on transportation and transit investments, affordability for families, and protecting the unique quality of life in West Seattle, South Park and the other neighborhoods of the newly created District 1.
