We had two guests Henry and Charlene.

This was a very special meeting today. The theme today was “Make an Educated Choice”

Norman Bell, CC, called the meeting to order at 7:45 AM.

Cause gave us a very appropriate inspiration, thank you Cause.

Mykal was the Toastmaster today.

The Earlybirds were honored to have Shannon Braddock speak to us today. Shannon is a candidate for Seattle City Council District 1 seat. She titled her speech, “WTH” What the Heck why would I do this? She stated that she was an optimist saying that she feels government can work for the greater good. We had a question and answer session after her speech.

Our second speaker was Norman Bell; his speech was a manual speech from the Storytelling manual. This was project 2; the title of his speech was “The Election Speech.” Norman gave us the story of when ran for BOC (Board of Control) and how he implemented his “Hell Yes Vote for Norm” campaign. This speech was a very humorous speech and one that showed us a bit deeper into who Norman is. Good job Norman, your are always a pleasure to hear and watch.

Nice Table Topic by Brian, “Who would you like to see run for president next year.” The responses were wide and varied but nonetheless funny.

Josh reminded us that some have not yet paid their dues; please pay ($36.00).

Next week we will have Lisa Herbold, another candidate for city council.
