Brian Kostecki was our Toastmaster for the day. Brian is one of our most enthusiastic Toastmasters.

There were two very good speeches today. Both were non-manual speeches.

Jean Manwaring gave us a great speech on “Growing Old or Growing Older is there a Difference?” I loved this speech because I fit in this age bracket.

Jim Guenther gave us the tale of the sun coming out and getting that itching feeling to get out and “be” in the garden. The name of his speech was “Bees.” I loved the idea of being in harmony with nature.

Henry was our Table Topics Master, topic was “Draw a valentine card and tell a story about it”

Mykal was the meeting evaluator.

Jeremy was our Timer; Josh was the vote counter and grammarian.

Beth gave us our Humor for the day, great one, Beth.

The winners today are for speech-Jim; table topic-Josh and Evaluator was up in the air.

We are in the middle of our international speech and evaluation contest. The final contest will be on February 26th. The Area contest will be held on March 13th. Location TBD.

Greg used a great word, “Speakology.” I never knew there was such a word. I found this definition; Speakology: the Art and Science of Speaking-For Kids.”
