The meeting was a strangely “giddy” one.
Josh Huisenga, who is our transitory president called the meeting to order at 7:45 AM. Thank you, Josh, for stepping up.
Mykal gave us our “green” inspiration and flag salute.
Mimi Stewart was our Toastmaster for the day; her theme was “The Color Green.”
Shari gave us our humor for the day; Shawn was our grammarian; our meeting evaluator was Jean.
Mimi and Janet gave us two fine speeches.
Mimi’s speech was “Everything Green.” We learned many things about green; one thing is how green is related to illness, etc.
Janet gave us a manual speech on “Foreigners in a Strange Land.” She shared with us a perspective on what a person from another country might experience when coming here to the United States.
Josh led the Table Topics, “What is in a name? If you could rename yourself, what would it be?”
Cause was our Timer.
Vote counter was Brian; good to have you back from vacation.
Henry evaluated Janet’s speech and Jim was Mimi’s evaluator.
Next Friday, March 25th, Jeremy will be our Toastmaster.
The winners today were, speech – Janet; Table Topics – tie between Chuck and Aaron; Clean Slate – Aaron. It was good to see you back with us, Aaron.
Josh reminded us that dues are due this Friday.
Also another round of applause for Jim and Josh for participating in the Area contest and coming up with 2nd and 3rd place wins!
Meeting adjourned at 9:00 AM.
